A piece of expressive abstract art which is part of an ongoing series of mine.
In this piece, the idea around it is about enlightenment, light, hope and wellbeing. I titled it 'Spring', not entirely because of the season it was painted in, but rather for something anew, regenerating a new phase in life, or another chance. That is something most of us would like on many an occasion. Although it has quite a bit of intricate work, it is based on simplicity, helped even through the whitish theme it portrays.
The painting itself is done in mixed media on a gallery wrapped stretched canvas. It is painted neatly in a lilac colour on all four sides, therefore, not needing any frame at all. It would be suitable with or without a frame, however one wishes it to hang. As with many of my paintings, I have signed it on the back, together with the other markings.
